DP is a 24-year-old male who had his first tonic–clonic seizure at the age of 15. At the beginning of the seizure, this patient experiences an immediate loss of consciousness and often incontinence. A common disorder encountered in pediatric neurology, this form of seizure begins with sharp tonic contraction of the muscles characterized by extension of the extremities.
